"Well I ended up getting that Suzuki Boulevard C50 I was looking at...I have had it about a week and a half now and totally love it!!" Very nice looking bike, you will enjoy it. Today I rode from Corpus Christi to San Antonio, and if I had not of had a windshield my face would have been yellow from all the bugs. If you get yourself a detachable windshield you will be able to take it off anytime.....that is what I recommend. Also it makes it easier to clean around the headlight with it removed...........ya did good with your new bike.

Ya, I hear you about the shield for long cruises Toad...I did put my shield from my old 400 on last night to try it out and it actually fits pretty good...and I took it off this morning in about 5 min before I rode to work. So I will probably go with that for a while. But I also hear where you're coming from Hurricane...I love cruising around with no shield especially around town or under 55-60mph.

Ha, those are pretty interesting and the price is right. I checked these out at a show a few months ago JohnnyPag.com - JohnnyPag Motorcycles 300cc and in the 4k price range, just right for my fiance's first bike. Maybe I'll send her to riding school for Valentine's Day

Nice looking Deluxe Squid. I especially like the bars, pipes, wheels, and smoked windshield. You ever ride with the PGR on any missions?

I have considered them. Also, I grew up in Missouri for a segment of my life. I was up near St. Charles. I come up there 3 - 4 times a year. I also try to get to the Ozarks to ride when I can. This year I chose Colorado. We were looking at a Eureka Springs based ride this next year, but I have my Spring booked up and my secretary is due in July. When she is out I have to work a lot more, so there goes my Summer. My old Navy buddy and riding friend is in Chicago and he wants me to come up there for a September Rally. In that case I would just rent a bike for a few days. | |

I have gotten to where I am not a huge fan of rallies or large crowded gatherings. I just like to get some friends together and plan out a few days of riding. Now days there are so many people at these rallies that you end up in stop and go traffic. Now, the smaller rallies I would be interested in just for the people watching. When I first got back into riding after the Navy the rallies were fun. But in time I morphed my riding into more just 2 - 5 bikes riding the twisties and enjoying the rest stop and restaurant conversations. |

Hammer, what a precious girl! The bike's okay too Roux, welcome, and I LOVE your avatar! Where are you in Michigan? Dammit, I lost custody of the husband AND the bike...do you guys let four wheels come to your rallies? Annie stomping off because she has no bike....
