| Run For Life '08
I thought the Run For Life was a worthwhile endeavor, but even before the group imploded this week there was scant interest in getting together. No one could commit to being there, or supporting the run financially, and I can't afford $1200 rent for a cabin no one's staying in. Hence, I'm going to cancel our reservation and return the one check I've received. If someone wants to pick up where I left off, feel free to contact Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge and make new reservations. The dates I'm releasing are: CHECK-IN: Sunday, August 10, 2008 CHECK-OUT: Sunday, August 17, 2008 It's a shame. Last year we had food, fun, fellowship, and some excellent rides through beautiful countryside - all the things that make being a Biker in Recovery so great. We had a blast (most of us, anyway) and I really thought we could grow RFL into a nice annual event. That's what I get for thinkin', eh?

I hate that Bill. I understand where you are coming from though. It seems like everything just went crazy. If I'm able and you still want to ride and meet somewhere, I'm game for that. We can simply pitch a tent somewhere. You can email me, call me or PM me if you'd like. But, I'd go ahead and cancel the cabin too so we don't get stuck with owing that much money. If there is a cancellation fee, please PM me the amount. I'd like to contribute to that. Great big hugs my brother, Kym

| Implosion or not, with the economy the way it is, I could not with good faith commit to coming and contributing any monies ahead of time. I do (did) plan on riding out there if only for a day to meet everyone. I still do have it penciled in for those dates. Keep me posted please...l

Bill, Thank you for your efforts. I too had full intention of going but my financial situation is still not fully recovered yet, therefore the reason for not sending money. Sorry for any inconvenience it has caused. I still would like to see something put together. Maybe another location more convenient for all, and a bit cheaper. Thank you for your efforts too Kym, and when I can, I too will be glad to help with any fees you may have lost. |
