Welcome Stefanie: Glad you pulled in here. We have lots of room at the curb for your ride. Even in the wilds of the frozen Canadian north, we have Google access. Is this pic similar to your ride....? Probably good on gas I bet...

Welcome, Stefanie!

I'm always interested in what riders in other countries experience, compared to the United States, so I'm curious: Is a motorcycle license required to operate your TOMOS? If so, what is the procedure for getting a motorcycle license in Belgium?

You have to have a liscense to ride such bike..But I don't have one like a lot of people around here ..I was riding BMXcross since I was 7 I've been bicyclecourier when I was 20 or something..I was bycicleartist until a guy became rich with a model me and another guy made ..And grow up between people who did mottocross so I was riding since my 13 on mototorbikes..As long as you don't joyride around the city (some do and then you see them a year later with a leg missing)it's rather ok..I'm planning to go for my license this year..I told you that I'm gonna have a go cart this tuesday..I phoned to the cops to ask if it's allowed to ride on the road with it..They gave me 3 different cops who didn't know..So for me that's a green light..I will put a big flag on it like they do on lyingbycicles and go for a nice ride..(they don't know it themselves)The biggest danger here is that you **** up your bike (it means that it goes faster then allowed for that type of bike..Then they put your bike on the rolles and open the gas..If you get cought with that then you are really the peanut..(i never did that)I also have an oldtimer peugeot from 1968..I will take a picture of that too tomorow and post it (didn't went so fast as my tomos but it's a very nice one too)

Welcome Stefanie,

I have been to Belgium. My father was in the US military and I lived 7 years in Europe as a child. We lived 3 years in Paris and it was there that I got my first motorbike. It was a Mobelette. I rode it from the time I was 9-11 years old. At that time in France (1954-57) there was no age limit on riding a motorbike, and no license needed. Just mix oil in the gas and go...............

Here is what it looked like

Keep posting please.........................
