my name is robert, im 45 and im an alcoholic / addict, like so many others i have been around the world a few times, had some nice times some not so nice, i will share parts of my story as i post here but i do try to focus on recovery and not the problem but i am also aware i need to share my past in order to help the new commer, my sobrity clean date is 12/02/2003, no i dont have much time in but i do know this i have to day, and today is all i work on, well i will close this now this is just a trial run here because im not sure what i am doing here on this site yet it is way diffrent from the site i left. sure dont seem to be the jerry springer show here, thank goodness i have read alot of good recovery here already and for that im greatful

Thanks for posting Robert. I needed to hear everything you posted. For me you have touched on the heart of staying clean and sober.........recovery, sharing with the newcomer, living one day at a time, and gratitude.
