My heart is heavy today...

I know this is going to be an on and off and on process in dealing with my feelings now that I've accepted my 19 year old is an alcoholic.

Some days it just seems to hit harder.

I started looking around the house at a lot of junky furniture I could get rid of, and this week is city-wide cleanup, which means anyone can haul furniture, appliances, etc, to a designated dumping spot.

So I've thrown myself into simplifying things, getting rid of the excess in my house, and I think that applies to my mind today too.

It sucks walking through the pain, but that's the only way I know how to do things and maintain my recovery.

We had a newcomer at the meeting Friday, which was really nice. I hope he's there again tonight.

I hope everyone has a blessed evening, and a prayer or two for my breaking heart to start healing would be much appreciated!

Having walked the road before them, my children have someone ahead of them who knows the answers. They know I know as well.
No one could tell me what was what till I was ready to listen. They will need walk that same path and find their own answers.
The same God that seen me through my years will be there for them.
Place your daughter in His hands and then wait for the same miracle to happen for her as well.
Bikers, addicts and alcoholics.... I think God watches out for us more then others. I sure know He has done so for me.
