I don't. I just keep doing what's in front of me to do, pray my decisions will be in keeping with my Higher Power's will for me, and try my best to make amends if I'm wrong.

It may take a life time to figure that one out! For me to keep an open mind and try new things as much as possible and do my best to Never say Never when something new or a challenge comes along.

I've got a new sponsee who's struggling pretty hard right now, coming up on two years, and she's really started to open up to me. I figure if I can in some small way help those who aren't as far along the road of recovery as I am, that's a good thing and a God thing.

To stay sober and help other alchoholics to recover is my primary purpose. By sticking to that, God has blessed me with so much, that I am at times overwhelmed with gratitude....

I had my pastor tell me... put your efforts towards what you are put on this earth for, so I asked the same question. No one could tell me why my purpose is. We did a bible study on the book...Purpose Driven Life and the 40 Days of Purpose. Still I didn't know the answer. We did a study to find out what are our strong points and weak points... still I didn't know but I was starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Getting tired of asking others when they would say work on your purpose. Expand your talents and use your God given skills. OK now tell me..what are my talents and what skills do I have? One person gave me an answer that helped. Just showing up... Just by my being there... Just me being me... I am doing what God created me for. Be Myself and let God guide me. They will know you are my children by the love you show to one another. We are all made different from one another, even though some of us are the same in many ways. By me being me... I am letting who I am be used by God for the purpose He intended. Be yourself and just keep doing the next right thing and you will be filling your purpose of why you were put on this earth.

The Big Book says, "Our real purpose is to fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and the people about us." (page 77)

| I'm here to learn. Especially since I found that I didn't know what I thought I knew. Something I find more and more of at every meeting.
