| Might Have To Take My Bike Test Again : (
i have been informed that after my DUI bann is up in 2 more years i MIGHT not get my full liscence back but have to take all my tests again, which wouldn't be a bad thing with a car ! but to take my bike test again in the UK would be very difficult they freqently change the laws making it harder and harder and more expensive !!! : ( well there is nothing i can do about it and i will not know untill i start to apply for my liscence back in a couple of years, and i will just have to accept the consequences of my actions of the past, but it is a very depressing thought ! perhaps my HP doesn't want me to have another MOTORBIKE ???? or perhaps i just need to be patient . . . . THE REALITY IS: when i was drink driving i'll be grateful that i : did not kill anyone did not hurt anyone did not kill myself it could have been a whole lot worse ! and TODAY IT'S DIFFERENT i'm 6 1/2 moths sober today - a day at a time |

That 6 1/2 months of sobriety is the greatest gift that you could ever have! I have been bike-less since mid 1999. Although I continued to dream for a long time that perhaps I might have another one in my future, I began to let go of that dream. I have often heard that you never know when the miracle might happen. So, I have continued to stay sober, one day at a time, and kept putting one foot in front of the other, and trusting the God of my understanding. Soon, I will be starting college again, at almost 50 years of age. That dream of having another bike in the future is being resurrected from the ashes. For me, as long as I put my sobriety first and foremost, I believe that anything is possible. It will happen in God's time, and not mine. Congratulations on 6 1/2 months!

Just like acceptance is our credo; walking hand-in hand is prioritizing our existence and taking the path less traveled. That path being the path of our HP. Yes, we're told and we eventually realize that things could always be worse; which is true. Likewise, we live life on life's terms and ultimately control our own destiny, ala Adam and Eve. Quite simply: Don't worry about it, you are where you're supposed to be, and cross that bridge when ya come to it. You seem to be a beautiful person, keep posting and sharing with us...,please.
