Billj

I just got off the phone with Bill's wife Jackie. Here is the update.

Bill has been in the hospital for the last couple of days. They have removed the rod in his leg and are treating him with antibiotics. They do not believe that the infection was in the bone, praise God. Jackie said that the rod was used while the bone healed, and that some people choose to leave them in. She said that the bone in Bills leg was healed.

I am believing that Bill will heal completely and his natural bones restored to 100% of use. Agree with me on this please.

Let us all continue to pray for our brother.

Understandably, he has turned off his cell phone.

I love you Bill and miss you.....................toad

Thanks for the update, toad. Prayers and love going out for Bill and family. In times like these I'm reminded of the many years that God watched over me, protected me, and loved me when I needed it most.

Understanding what happens when someone has such surgery... my hopes were for a speedy recovery without added complications.
The news you bring is better then I thought would be based on my understanding of such.

Me of little faith and still The Lord shows us who is in control.
Bill will have complete healing and I am sure his healing will be fast enough that he could ride to RFL 08.
:praying

I just talked to Bill on the phone. I asked him how he is doing and he said, "I've been better." So, let's continue to lift him up in our prayers. He did have some good news though. He is still in the hospital, but is expected to go home in the next few days, possibly even today. He said the bone in his leg is healed completely, and he has even been up and walking on it. The infection did not get in the bone. He will have heavy-duty IV antibiotic treatments at home for the next 6 weeks.

We will pray for complete healing and use of his leg......

Miss you Bill, it ain't the same here without you.........

I talked to Bill around noon today (Friday), he came home from the hospital Wed.. He sounded good to me, but he said he was having some pain. He has to keep his leg elevated so he has not been able to sit and take the time to get on the computer. He has to give himself IV injections of antibiotics twice a day. Each treatment takes about an hour and a half.

Continue to pray for complete healing...........

We talked most of the time about scooters and tires. Folks we have in our midst someone with a wealth of knowledge about sobriety and scooters.....I miss his input on this forum....................toad

Not sure what one he has more of. Scooters or sobriety?
Bill sure is a wealth of knowledge in both areas.
