| Toad stopped by
Toad dropped by for supper this evening, with a buddy from Missouri. They were beat after a twelve-hour drive, but we had a pleasant visit. After supper we ran by the house so Toad and Lynn could see my bikes, and Toad entertained us with a few piano tunes. Who knew the boy was so talented? ![]() Toad tickling the ivories. Toad, Lynn, and Jackie.

| Yeah, it is! ![]() One added perk: since I'm not living in a flophouse, or on someone else's sofa, I can actually have bros drop by my home and not be ashamed!

Oh man I like seeing people get together in recovery. How cool is that?! On a lighter note, seeing Toad at the piano kinda reminds me of Garth Hudson playing for The Band

I'm a Band fan, too. Only got to see 'em once, at Watkins Glen in '73, but I've always dug their sound.

Jazzed, Man you hit a good point there. I’ve got a lot of WAR stories that start out that way. A bro stopped by and ….. Nothing good usually was the outcome. Yeah, sobriety is a gas man! God is good, all day every day. Today when a bro stops by, I don’t fight. Today when a bro stops by, I don’t end up pulling a gun on someone. Today when a bro stops by, I remember it the next day and have no regrets. Today when a bro stops by, we have fellowship without the chemicals. The fact of the matter is… Today, I have bro’s. True brothers that give with their whole hearts and seek nothing in return. Brothers that I can count on when the chips are down. I could go on and on… Yeah, sobriety is a wonderful gift. It’s my God given freedom. Chief

Thanks Bill for your kind words. Friday we went to San Antonio to the Alamo and River Walk. Saturday we drove to Corpus Christi and saw the Aircraft Carrier Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. Then we drove to Padre Island for some fun at the beach. Temps in the upper 70's, scooters everywhere. Wish I would have had mine. I drove 13 hours back home sunday to 20 degree temps............It was worth it. Thanks again for the hospitality.........hope to see you and Jackie in a month or so.

| "I pulled in to Nazerath, I was a feeling bout half past dead. All I was a looking for was a place to lay my head. Hey Mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed? He grinned and shook his head and no is all he said." My brother Bill offered a place to sleep, but we planned on leaving at the break of dawn so we stayed at Comfort Inn......thanks Bill and Jackie
