Last year 8 of us, 7 were posters on this forum, rode to, and met at Versailles State Park in Indiana. We had a great time sharinng our recovery. We were from Canada, Boston, Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas and Kentucky.

This year in August we will possibly meet in North Carolina. We would like for you and your other half to show up and share. You will be closer than many of us coming from the south and mid-west.........think about it.

RFL means "Run For Life", and RFL was a blast! As Toad mentioned, we traveled from far-flung corners of North America to hook up for a long weekend of fellowship, fun, food, and a few day-rides around the beautiful southeast region of Indiana. It was a chance to meet face-to-face with some of the folks on this board who have meant so much to me these past four years.

In particular, since my accident in July of '04 limited my riding and attendance at local meetings, this board has become a "home group" of sorts, where I can make contact with others in recovery, share E,S&H, and just have fun in fellowship. How cool it is to be able to put faces with all these screen names, and break bread with my SR brothers and sisters!

If we pull it together for RFL '08, come hell or high water I intend to be in North Carolina this summer. I'll definitely have one of my bikes, to go exploring the North Carolina mountains. I may have a friend who lives in NC come join us, as well.

And who knows? I might even get my wife to come along, too, so she can see what I see when I look in y'all's faces.

Brothers, when yall commit to comin, post it on the "Let's Start RFL 08 Planning! #1" thread. That's where we are startin our head count. Once we get that head count we will have enough info to give the brother or sister whom we nominate and vote in as the site logistics officer or liaison to Ironhorse, dig it? If'n ya don't don't worry, cuz vid #2 will explain more in detail.

This is so cool, it makes me feel so connected, like a colr-flyin club of tramps in recovery. A.A., at an even deeper level.
