| Let's Start RFL 08 Planning! #1
This is installment one. Watch carefully and comment in this thread. I suggest we start by estimating our numbers-then elect a logistics officer to get hard numbers for Rarly to cipher for lodging and food. YouTube - Run For Life-Ironhorse Cycle Lodge, NC

| Okay, I am sooooo close to the Carolinas it's sickening. I have a run to Pittsburg at the begining of Aug. that is pretty close to mandatory. I am gonna try to take a second block of time off but if I dont get approved, then I have to choose between the 2 runs. Vids are a great idea.

I am in that's two, also, I am going to start posting polls for officers. I will start by nominating you Kym, as location Logistics officer. (you would pretty much be in charge of checking out costs for the Ironhorse site after we get a head count, if you accept the nomination we'll get group conscience). Glad you guys are hip to the vids, it makes it a lot easier on my ol crippled up behind.

Unless something terrible happens between now and this summer, I'm in. Just need to know what dates we've picked, so I can block 'em out on my calendar.

5 in attendance to date-kickin baby!- I am certain of rar too, but will let him speak for himself. We also have a second in here for nomination of Miss Kym for Ironhorse site director. Cool. We will star taking all in favors immediately on the motion. HR-the dates dsicussed are in the 8-15 to 8-29, someone correct me if I am wrong please. We have discussed a longer event this year; we all felt 4 days was insultingly too short! It could go the whole two weeks or at least one I think within that date range. Once we get some or all of the officers elected, we'll start hashing out the particulars for evryone's info.

I don't know what I am doing tomorrow much less 6 months from now. I am a definite, possible, maybe to be there. Won't know till we get closer to the date. As I remember what we talked about... The two week time frame was set up so that people could come and go as their time allowed. Some may be able to make 3 days and some could make it 14 days. 2 weeks give plenty of opportunity for those with short time available.

Kym, Are you group liaison between us and the lodge, or do we make our own reservations? Also, is the August 14th-29th time-frame definite? My schedule is flexible, but Jackie works a twelve-month school year, with only occasional weeks off during summer months. Doin' my best to make sure y'all get to meet her!
