Talking What does this mean?

Perpetual quietness of heart. It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore; to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised, it is to have a blessed home in myself where I can go in and shut the door and kneel to my Father in secret and be at peace, as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and about is seeming trouble.

(From a plaque on Dr. Bob's desk)

My take on this is simple toad...,it means that you are totally in surrender with God, totally at peace with your relationship with God, you have no doubts in your mind, nor your heart that He is in complete control of all aspects of your existence-of all that is in existence. you are in complete acceptance of all that befalls you and fully realize that all that happens is part of a bigger picture that although you cannot understand, you fully realize that it is for the better because you know and love God with all your heart and mind.
That would be the short, readers digest version of it, but honestly, volumes could be written about the meaning of that paragraph. Keep it Simple bro.

Love and Blessings

To me, it is defined as these 2 simple rules to remember...1). Never sweat the small stuff.....2). Everything is really small stuff!

I like what Dr. Paul said in his story about his serenity level being related to his level of expectations......and then his rights get in the way......he realizes that he has to discard his rights if he wants serenity.....

"How important is it really?" (the problem)

Is it worth loosing my serenity?

The older I (toad) get, the more I realize that my serenity is of much importance to my well being.

I love Jesus........but I am sure glad to see Christmas 2007 heading into the history books......Here's something for sober road dogs to think about....

85 DAYS TILL SPRING
