| "Returning home....." AA Big Book page 75
"Returning home we find a place where we can be quiet for an hour, carefully reviewing what we have done. We thank God from the bottom of our heart that we know Him better." Big Book page 75 I joined this website in early 06. Since that time I have been able to learn through the experience, strength and hope of those who also post here. The same time having the opportunity to share, I've been able to sort through some of my own problems as they flow from my heart, to my mind, to the keyboard. This weekend I was able to meet some of you folk as we gathered together in Indiana for the "SR 2007 Run For Life." I come away in awe realizing that it is all real. This is not just a electronic device sitting on my desk, but a real link to to a real world of recovery, made up of real people, with hearts and souls that care and love one another. My gratitude is extended to those who through selfless service worked hard to make it possible. Somehow I feel that I have made some friendships that will last. That just doesn't happen everday! The God of our own understanding is the thread that is woven through the fabric of our recovery. I saw many who gathered together from various places in North America with a common heart for helping those who desire to change through a program of recovery. Thanks to Best, Rarly, BillJ, Hammer, Guzzi, Kym, and Jimmy W. Thanks for the mettings...............toad P.S. That was a great ride we took Saturday, beautiful country.

We missed you Hurricane........I pray that all went well with your holiday and visits. Possibly we can all go to Founders Day next year, get a block of hotel rooms, see where AA was birthed, and ride in the massive Sunday ride.

I am knee deep in the commitments of home, but rest assured, I will be adding pictures-(I will create that thread now and much more commentary. For now, Let me say that I echo all that the toad has mentioned and add that there have been few times in my life where I have been as moved as in Indiana this weekend. I felt often the lump of emotion in my throat. big love go out to all. Toad, Billy, Rar, Guzzi, Jimmy W. the servant known as Best. God will return all you do with the opening of the windows of Heavens blessings

Just as well I didn't make the trip. My rear caliper locked up on me tonight, pulled it off and rode it home. I would have only held you up. Founders day sounds good If I ever get this Gilroy contraption they called a bike straitened out. | |

| No, I think you would have found how much others care about one another and look out for one another. I lost my lights and was guided home to the camp by two brothers that were watching out for me in all areas of my life. Thank you Bill and Rarly. I can ride my bike most anytime. I don't always have the friendship and love to the degree we had that was around us all for the whole weekend. Wrenching, sitting around with a coffee, or riding the roads... some things are there no matter what we are doing. You wouldn't have held us up, you would have given another opportunity to let us all see true friendship in action.

One thing I came away from this weekend with is a feeling that seeds were planted in me that will help me grow as the things shared rattle around in my brain. I learned much on the spot. I continued to learn and grow as I thought on things and I will continue to grow like the mighty oak that starts from an accorn and grows so tall. (I just need continue watering what was planted) From my heart I can truly say that I love you all and there is not a thing you can do about it. Rarly Bill Toad Guzzi Hammer Jim Kym and even myself Love you all.
