Run For Life, Labor Day 2007 - DETAILS

The date draws nigh.

Can we get a current head-count on attendance?

Also, we're told there will be 30-amp electricity at the sites. Since I'm caging it, and towing a trailer, I'll play Martha. I'll have a 30-cup coffee urn, coffee, and sugar packets; an extension cord, trouble-light, and power-strip; at least one electric fan; a small hot-plate; a baby boom-box (AM/FM, CD, and cassette) and selected music; a small assortment of tools; and whatever else I can cram in there.

If anyone can think of something else we might need, post here and I'll try to fit it in.

If anyone takes cream in their coffee, be advised that I won't have any with me. You might want to throw a jar of CoffeeMate in your saddlebags, or pack some half-and-half in a cooler.

I'm looking forward to the road-trip, and to seeing a lot of your smiling faces when I get there. Yee-haw!

I'll be there for a while on Sunday. It appears to be about a 3 hour trip for me so I hope to be there around 10:00 or 11:00. Wish I could camp, but mom duty comes first!!! Anyway, I've got a couple of cell phone numbers in case I get lost or something. Can't wait to see you all!!!

I will be there possibly Friday evening or Saturday mid-morning. I possibly will bring a friend (sponsee) who rides also. Leaving Friday morning and traveling across Missouri on US 60, on into Kentucky to Western Kentucky Parkway. I might go up to Evansville Ind. to spend Friday night, and early Saturday morning head to Versailles. See ya'll there. I will PM my cell number to several of you before I leave, and get one or two of yours to maintain contact.

I'll do the same. With my shiny "new" used trailer (just picked up yesterday), I can even make room for rescue duty, if need arises.

Next year, count me in.

Sorry to miss you, Hurricane, but I'm open to "next year." I'd love to see this turn into an annual event. Those who come alone this time bring a friend next year, and so on. Could be a very cool thing.

One year at a time, though! :andy:

I agree, I had that in mind when the idea hatched out.

I have a 3 room tent that will sleep 2 to a room very nicely. I also have my truck that could be used as a two sleeper (or 4 if people like it under the stars) An airbed as well.

I will bring some grub and some sodas along with my bike and myself. Hope to be there by dinner time Friday night (6-7 PM) I don't like setting up tents in the dark *LOL*
If my son isn't using his portable grill I will take that along. A 3 dollar hubcap sized grill will do if he is using his *LOL*
For those traveling by bike... A bed roll and pillow...and yourself. I would like to see if I can gather up as much as I can in the truck so those who may be riding don't need do anything but show up and enjoy the fellowship.

My daughter is married off now so I have some time available to start working on things for the trip.

If my funds allow... What size tee shirts? I have an idea I hope I can work out.

That's my idea, too. Since I'm hauling truck and trailer to this gig, I might as well fill it with stuff that'll make the party better for everyone.

Head count...

We are at 6 with Kym showing up on Sunday that makes 7.

We have 3 sites. Shall we keep all three so we have plenty of space?
They only allow one vehicle (or maybe two) per site. All others need be put in the parking lot. I would rather have my bike with me as I sleep. The truck can get parked.

We are reserved for up to 18 people between the 3 sites if memory serves me right.
