| Okay, I'm outta here...
...for at least a couple days, and maybe more. In about 12 hours the surgeon's gonna start hacking and sawing on my badly-battered foot, hoping he can reduce some of the severe pain I've been living with the past two and a half years. I have faith in him, faith in my HP, and high hopes for the outcome of this surgery, but it does mean I'll be off my scooters until well into summer. I welcome all kind thoughts and prayers, and look forward to seeing y'all when I get home!

Count my prayers in Bill. The universe gives us back what we send out. I have never felt anything but good positive encouraging vibes from you my Brother. You'll be dancin' the Texas two-step before you know it...

| That would be a neat trick, since I don't have an ounce of rhythm anywhere in me! :andy: Surgery went well, prognosis is good, and I'm home and learning how to get about on crutches. My back is not loving that last bit, but crutches are all we have at the moment, while we try to track down and get approval for one of these: http://www.activeforever.com/ps-1359...leg-caddy.aspx I appreciate the prayers and kind thoughts, and back at all y'all! I'll check back and update as I can.

Bill: Only trouble with that contraption is that it won't build up the pipes for ridin', like crutches will. Hate to see you ridin' with lower arm muscle flappin' in the wind...LOL

We got approval for the contraption, and ordered it Friday from DH Medical (http://dhmedical.com/) in Brooklyn, NY. They had the better price, and free shipping. Should be here Thursday.

The cast is awkward, and often painfully uncomfortable. The go-cart's pretty cool, but has its limitations. I alternate between crutches and cart, and that seems to work. The hard cast comes off in three weeks. Then I'll be fitted with a boot cast for another three weeks. After that, my foot will be paroled from prison, and we'll get to see all the wonderful things this surgery is doing for me. Yay! In the meanwhile I'm whining about being virtually housebound, and missing some of the best riding weather of the year. It's cold and wet today, but all last week was in the 70s, and all next week will be in the low 80s, and I'm jonesin' bad for a motorcycle ride! The HD dealership is a mile up the road, and the Thursday Bike Night is a half-mile down the road, so I hear scooters going by day in and day out, and my throttle hand goes into convulsions every time! :andy:Soon as I'm able, I have some new goodies to add to my bikes, to make 'em more user-friendly for my battered body. Then it's "Look out!" 'cause I'm hittin' the road! Thanks for asking after me. Hope you and all our SR friends have a happy Easter.
