Hi Bikers in SR.... Happy Tuesday to SR. Ok, Im still determined to learn how to ride solo on a motorcycle. As some of u know, i did take a motorcycle class last yr about this time and made it to the last day but had to stop at the beginning of the test because i was physically unable to finish. I am proud of myself to be able to stay on the bike without laying it down the entire 3 days of training, however i had so much trouble learning shift and clutch. That was too much info at one time going thru my little brain...lol Anyway....I am still determined to learn so i can really know what it is like to ride free and solo on a bike comfortably. While im waiting to go out on the bike to physically train again id like to see a video online that may show me step by step the shifting and clutch part of learning to ride a bike. Can someone help me find something like that here online? At least i can vividly see what they r doing up close here online to help me understand since i never learned standard shifting at all. Maybe there's a Motorcycle Learning for Idiots.... ![]() ![]()

Funny you should post this Sharon, Ms. Astro begins her Basic Rider Training at RideSmart this afternoon. Take a look around this site, there's a video, pics, and some basic info RideSmart Motorcycle Training, Inc. - Professional Motorcycle Rider Training Have you tried doing a search on YouTube for what you're looking for? I did a search for "motorcycle shifting gears" and came up with a bunch of hits like this YouTube - How To Ride A Motorcycle - Shifting Gears

Sounds like a center-stand, which are normally found on sport bikes, and they still have the potential to allow the back wheels to touch the ground. You might want to check JC Whitneys site to see if they have a test stand.
