hi linda-- im laura,alcoholic,--hes been sober 5 days and still vomiting?--how much did he drink each day?--i usually only threw up the first 2-3 days or so and i drank ALOT--24 beers a day and a fifth sometimes--in my experience with detoxing--nothing helped my stomach--i tried pepto and tums and stuff and for me i just had to ride these symptoms out--i feel for your boyfriend--i know the horrifying hell he is in--i also feel for you--take care Laura

Hi, Do not drink anything for at least an hour after the last time you vomit. Then try dry toast/ginger-ale. I went through the same ordeal when I put down alcohol. Make sure however that theres no fever. Like bsp said, could be a stomach virus. I hope you feel better soon! Jen

dear Tigger - This is the time to make sure he sees a doctor and gets a thorough checkup. Remember this is not a medical site, and just as you wouldn't entrust your electrical wiring to non-professionals, it's a good idea not to seek medical advice from anyone but a doctor. I hope your "abf" is going to 12 step meetings when he can too... best, Guy |
