Trouble with my husband

My husband and I are having some problems. WE generally argue alot over stupid things.Ususlly it's over things He thinks I'm doing wrong. Last Monday he had a very high fever and had a spot right bellow his butt bone. We went to thr E.R. and they said it was a cist that had abcessed. Please bare with me I'm going some where with this. They cut it out packed it and sent him home. I have taken care of him all this time. All he had to do is lay on the bed and yell to get whatever he needed. I gave him everything and I was very happy to do it. He treated me so nice the entire time he was down but now that he doesn't need me to do for him anymore he acts like I'm not even here. When he does talk to me he says hateful things. When he was being nice to me when he was sick I thought it would stay that way since I gave up my life to care for him. I want to be friends with him again but I don't know how. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank-you LeighC

Does he drink? When I was heavy into alcohol, I could not take care of myself. Therefore, my wife did it all for me. It was the worst thing she could have done. It may be hard not to be his caretaker, because you are his wife, but stop. He needs to do it for himself. It's the only way you will be sane and happy. I am now sober and going through a divorce. I suggest you read "Codependent No More". It has helped me a lot, and can help you!
