This thread has brought tears to my eyes !

I remember so well the relief I felt when I found SR.

I was a shaking shivering mess, having just returned from my very first AA meeting, and how well I remember the feeling of the long day stretching ahead of me .I was on holidays , and had lost my license, so was "grounded". I believe I "googled" alcoholism, and there was SR!

I had recovery at my fingertips 24/7, it literally saved my life !

How kind you all were !
Advice about my shakes , dehydration, anxiety and ignorance .

Today is my 2nd Anniversary, and I can never repay Jon for the wonderful job this site does

Thanks Jon for a very safe haven, and some wonderful friends

I know I am a bit late for the birthday , just wanted to say " thanks"

HUGX ALL
Lee

It's a bit quiet on the weekends but there's usually some-one along soon who can relate to you.

I never got a PM, and I never even seen this thread till now, ahhh not fair, how can that be?? LOL I remember hearing about a PM going around, always wondered what it was, I guess today was my day to find out, haha
I guess I need to start coming to SR through the front door instead of the back door and take a look around.

I dont think I can add anymore to our SR poem than what was said. SR is my first stopping point in the morning and my last stop at night. If I didn't have SR in my life I really do think I would have lost my mind. I love each and every here, and don't see myself without SR ever. Sometimes I try to explain to people what SR is about but to be honest I have found that words don't begin to describe SR and what it does for each and everyone of us. Thank you Jon for creating such a wonderful little world we have here, and thanks for bringing many people in my life.

Hugs,
Jewel

Thanks

This is a Blessing

I remember when I first discovered this wonderful place. I was in my office and was unable to make meetings on a regular basis. I found SR and it not only saved my recovery but my life. I am so grateful for the sisters and brothers that helped me through some situation in my life. Continue to grow and I hope to continue to grow with you.

Happy B-Day SR

Smile Happy Birthday SR

When I found this site, I had no idea how important of a role it would play in my life. I had been sober just hangin on for about 4 1/2 years. I mean I was sober but didn't really feel good enough to talk about it or myself. But as I began to read the posts of others and sometimes post as well myself I felt myself grow and my hope with it. Just seeing others share their lives made me realize no I am not alone.

Thank You Jon, for SR and Thanks to everyone here for sharing a part of your lives.
God Bless to all of you.

i found this place in may 07, just before i went into rehab. back then i had NO idea how much trouble i was in. it hit when i was in there, but i relapsed after exactly 75 days, because once i was out i thought that i could manage to be a 'social' drinker.
i've had two, big, messy, horrible relapses since i left rehab. both of which have taught me a lot about myself. but most importantly, going to meetings, and coming to this site (not even posting, just reading through what everyone else is going through, and how bravely they're dealing with it) has helped me get to this place, almost 4 months sober. i'm happy, i'm focused, i'm grateful and i'm proud.
PLEASE everyone, use this site. there is so much good to be found here.
