Hi least, I can only imagine the worry you're feeling right now. I'm praying for you and Jack's swift reunion.

Don't give up hope, Least. I had a Germane Shepherd go missing years ago, searched the shelters and provided them with pictures and my contact information. I called daily and was told no dog matching her description was picked up. Nearly a week later, I returned to the shelter and was roaming the kennels. For some reason, I went into the "isolation" kennel and there she was!

Prayers for Jack's safe return.

Yes I used to work at an animal shelter. You have to go physically look for them. Not every employee who answers the phone is gonna care as much as others will. I sure hope the old fella finds his way home.

Least, a sign on your lawn with a picture of Jack that says Jack is lost and lives here, please help me find him! may help.

Have you heard of nextdoor.com? It's people in your area and a lot of neighbors post lost and found pets. I would definitely sign up for that.

Door knocking, stopping people on the street will get more eyes looking.

Second the physically going to the shelters.

I really hope you find him or he comes home!!!!

Least - have you placed an ad on Gumtree? I tried, but because I'm out of the US, it's thinking I'm a scammer
Ads are free to post and there's a lost + found section for pets Xx
PS Still putting it out over Twitter x

least.... I haven't read through all of these but we also once had one of our dogs go missing off the farm. He ended up 3 towns north of us and about 60 some odd kms away from home. I had posted an ad on kijiji (like craigslist I think, unless you guys have kijiji where youre at) with his picture and within a week, word had gotten round through church and local groups, friend of a friends, neighbours cousin, type thing, knew the lady who had found him and was housing and feeding him for a week! So we were happily reunited. Hoping and praying for the same for you. <3

I registered him with Lost Dogs but since I have no picture, the notice is on hold. I can upload a picture when I get home if he's not found by then. Still praying and hoping.

least, What a shining example of recovery!! When Dad died on Feb. 1st, I felt like I was having a heart attack, my chest was so tight.......I did not drink, would only have made things so much worse!! I'm glad you're having a good trip.

Could one of us, upload Jack's picture to Lost Dogs?

If you can find his picture, sure. I just don't have access to my picture library since I'm not home.
