I really need some help. 6 months ago I had a beautiful baby girl, and thank god her father quit doing Meth. However, Now he is leaving her with a woman who frequently does the ****. I have heard that from her sweating that my daughter can absorb the Meth Chemicals. Is this true. I try and tell my boyfriend that I do not want any part of this woman in my life, but he try and tell them they are good people. I can't see good people being strung out on this stuff. Please if anyone one could answer this I would appreciate it. Thanks Needshelp |

Dear needshelp - I've never heard of absorbing meth from anyone's sweat - but perhaps someone else on the site can give you a firmer answer. My gut response is that this won't physically put your daughter in danger. But leaving your daughter with anyone who does meth is inadvisable for all sorts of other reasons: judgment is so impaired that the risks are real. I'd get her another babysitter right away. best, Guy |

Being a mother comes with it many many responsibilities. One being the safety and well being of your baby. Its your responsibility to make sure that this baby is not with this woman who is doing meth, and to not buy into the BS that your boyfriend is obviously trying to sell you. I did meth, and I can assure you that no baby/child is safe with anyone, at anytime when they are high on meth, coming down from meth, or when they are out of meth and doing anything they need to do to get meth. You are doing the right thing Needhelp, as this baby's mom, its your duty, and responsibility to DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING for your child, regardless of what your boyfriend does or thinks. I would be very concerned that your boyfriend actually "thinks" that the baby is safe with anyone who does meth. You know the truth Needshelp, .... now put the truth into action, and do whatever it is that you have to do to keep your baby safe. God Bless, Patsy | |
