Hi gianna, Probably the wrong forum to post on. This one is for specific addiction questions. As for chat, there are no scheduled meetings as of yet. Please tell us a little about yourself in the Alcoholism forum. You will find lots of support and friendship there. We're glad you're here...

hey gianna -- yeah, it may take a little while (hopefully not long: I try to get back to queries with some dispatch) -- but this is a great place to voice concerns and get response. How is today for you? Have you tried an AA meeting? Keep us posted. You've got friends here you may not realize you've got. prayers, Guy |

Hi all, Wow! What a resource! I was overwhelmed this morning to find messages from many people. Not knowing quite how all this works, I wasn't sure I was even getting through. I DID make it through yesterday, thanks to finding this site in the middle of a 2 AM anxiety attack. A little about my situation: I was sober for 13 years (through AA) and have been slipping and sliding for about 4 years now, mostly not drinking. I lead an active life where balance is an issue, and needless to say I can't drink and "balance". To say nothing of having tried for the last nine months to drink normally. Normal to me being, if I am not drinking I am thinking about it. Not what non-alcoholics do, I bet. Thanks again for all your support...I am very happy to have found this place, Gianna Day 2.... |

Hi Gianna I hope ur ok. I just got back from closing my little place down in rockaway, and was glad to see that u posted after ur first post. I know what it is to have time and relapse. I had 8 yrs, and relapsed. The hardest thing to do is to comeback and stay back, but what worked for me was that i had to act like i was never in aa before. People would come up to me and say u know what to do. The truth is if i had known what to do I wouldn't of picked up. Mind u this is what worked for me. Take good care, and happy recovery. mary

Hi Gianna, So you slipped after what: 70, 80, 90 days? That is quite an accomplishment. Instead of beating yourself up over the one day you drank, congratulate yourself for all those days you stayed sober. Bottom line? Don't concentrate on the # of days. That is what addicts do, haha. On behalf of your liver, I thank you for all of those sober days. |
