| About my husband Alcoholism Sir am I wrong for being angry about my husbands alcohol abuse? It seems so unfair that he is drinking until he is totally drunk and ugly acting. He claims that somehow I make him drink. When I ask him how I do that, he can't answer me. For years he would say that I was not skinny enough for him. When I filed for a divorce he changed his tunes quickly and quit drinking for nearly 6 months and then started right up drinking again. We can not go anywhere unless it entails the use of alcohol on his part. I don't drink at all. I hate alcoholism big time. What gets me is his parents literally drank themselves to death. I mean his father got so bad that he got on disability and started drinking so badly that he would lay in the bed and urinate and crap in the bed. Oh they put him in a nursing home where he stayed until he died. They never even addressed the reason for why he was in the nursing home and how nasty he was or how nasty his mother was until she finally died and did the world a favor. I see him going down this same road and I am getting very fed up with it. I don't know how to get him to go to AA and quit drinking. Am I wrong for thinking about getting a divorce and getting away from him? |

| You are definitely not wrong for thinking about divorce and getting away from this man who sounds very abusive and blames you rather than taking responsibility for his addiction. Your situation won't get better over time unless you take firm actions and focus on protecting your well being. |
