I was wondering if anyone has cut a welbutrin 150 in half and just taken half the pill instead of the whole thing? If so, what did it do for you?

You could get a pill cutter and cut the wellbutrin in half, however its not advisable to decrease or increase any dosages without doctor approval.

I took wellbutrin to stop smoking and found that the whole pill was to strong for me. I cut them in half and found it decreased the side effects considerably.

I'm assuming you are talking about the XL version, which is extended release. I've never split one in half, but I do know that you will lose the "extended release" property of the medication. I don't think anything "bad" can happen, but I would discuss it with your doctor first.

I'm on Wellbutrin XL and the pamphlet that comes with the rx says SWALLOW WHOLE. Do not break, crush or chew before swallowing.

I take WB and I wanted to cut it in half also, but the pharmacist told me it wasn't as effective if you cut it. Not to mention it doesn't dissolve like it's suppose to and can cause damage to your throat and stomach. They have 1oomg, have you tried that?
