Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the NA basic text at a cheaper price than at the meetings? I don't have the money to buy a copy and I checked ebay but there is nothing available.

Do you know any other places I can check?

I bet if you go to an NA meeting and ask, someone with buy it for you or donate it to you.

Funny, thinking about all the time and money I wasted chasing after those highs... People in recovery told me to put that time and money into my recovery instead of my addiction. I always found the money to get high. Today I have the money to pay my bills and buy a friend a cup of Java at Starbucks.

the fellowship and help and reach out to other addicts.
So where the hell is all the money going to, if an addict
reaching out for help can't even get a Basic TEXT or
the Manual to recovery.????????

Good..god, you can't even give a book away to addict
where I'm from. No one is serioue enough to even considering
reading a book. If you ask me, I'd buy one for you without blinking.

No, it's not a hand out. I had nothing when I got clean and sober.
I came in late into a meeting oneday, becuase i ran out of gas.
Everybody in the meeting pitched in to give me gas money.
I didn't have an excuse not to attend meetings.

I rented a copy @ the library.. :~( ...and it was requested FOR ME, sent from another library, is DUE back soon, and I would LOVE to get my very own copy too.
