I can't do this alone
I have been taking percocets for some time now! It actually started after I was diagnosed with HIV. I withdrew myself from my friends and family. I have never felt so alone in my life. I am trying to quit, but it is so damn hard!! I can't seem to do this on my own. Any Ideas??

Hi Terry, I can only suggest what worked for me and that is Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
In Na you will find new friends who will help and support you without judging you.

Welcome to SR terry,
I couldn't stop getting loaded on my own either and if weren't for NA I'd still be getting loaded, or worse dead.
Like peter said, in NA you never have to go through ANYTHING alone if you don't want to.
Keep posting here too, there is usually allways someone around here that can help me when I need it.

What Worked For Peter Also Worked For Me, I Went To Meetings Where People Understood Me And Accepted Me For "who" I Am Instead Of In "spite" Of Who I Am. I Made Friends By Sharing And Letting People Get To Know Me And In Return Got To Know Them And Now I Am "never" Alone. J.h
