Feeling A Little Down Tonight
Hi Vic,
I'm glad you're posting about how you feel. It's going to take awhile to deal with your feelings about Lucky. My little kitten died in December and I've only just been able to put out her photos in the past couple of weeks. Up to this point, I'd just cry every time I saw them so I put them away.
Try to do something to get outside of yourself Vic and be good to yourself.

Keep talking about it Vic.
I know you can never replace your friend, an I would never suggest you try, but Maybe you could volunteer to help the local animal shelter, or somoene who raises dogs when your ready to let go of lucky. The unconditional love of an animal can be therapeutic for our recovery.

Sorry you are hurting over your companion
We had to put our beloved greyhound "Levi" to sleep in June, he had bone cancer... I thought my heart would break with grief....
I am comfortable at this point with his ashes in a lovely box on the dresser, not sure if we will do something with them or not, maybe spread some at his favorite dog park.
I miss him terribly, he was my beautiful boy. ( a very prissy boy at that)
