I am 3 years into my recovery and I am at a hard road I am in the Dekalb area and I went to AA meetings but I just dont seem to fit in I am an addict and I always will be I know that there are people there that are dulley addicted but I am not and i was even told at several meetings not to say I am an addict. I had a real rough time where I came from I had thought I had found a friend in NA and I thought I found many friends but I got hurt badley I was getting back stabbed and I had lost what I thought was my best friend. I am now engaged to the woman of my dreams I have a wonderful job actully two I am really living the life but there is that one thing that is missing in my life and that is fellowship I miss it so much that I am lonely wich gets me depressed wich leads to anger wich then leads to me blowing up at the woman I love I need friends who understand and love me for who I am.

JUst wanted to welcome you to SR and I know how you feel, alittle over a year ago I started a NA meeting with another member of AA and up until I moved 7 weeks ago I was the only one origional member there but it has grown and is self supporting, maybe you can look into that check out churches, etc and get someone to join you in the fellowship.

I actully started a meeting in lasalle county and it has blossomed into an area it is now the illinois valley area and I just dont really want to go through all that again I actully got a call from some one that found a flyer with my number on it it must have been old cause I was taken off the call list oh about a year and a half a go
