9 months for me today!
9 months for me today!
I feel really good about it, and give thanks to SR for being here, and helping me with my clean time.
I went into treatment almost 2 years ago, but relapsed 1 week after reaching my 9 months, and used for 5 months, so have not picked up any key tags that I already have. I think part of it was to punish myself for relapsing. My thoughts were not to pick up a key tag that I had already earned. Now I am looking forward to getting my 1 year medallion. I will take the in between hugs now though.
I did learn alot through my relapse, and continue to remind myself that I am an addict, and can never use any drug again. With some of us, it's not enough to be told that the fire will burn, we have to touch it and learn the hard way. That was me.
Today I am very grateful that I got back on track, and very grateful that this site is here. After my accident when I was 4 months in a wheelchair, I would have gone crazy without this site.
Thank you thank you thank you Jon and all who contribute their time, and encouraging comments to the addicts who are clean, who have a desire to be clean, or are just at the educating stage determining whether or not they are addicts.
I love you all
Diana

You are another reason for me never to give up. Your words are very helpful for me.
SR folks continue to make my list for not using VERY LONG.
Here's to not using and staying on a narrow path to recovery.

Diana...
BIG Congratulations
Once again I am so grateful that we have this wonderful place (SR) that allows us to share the journey of recovery together... and we are even in different countries (how cool is that).
Thank you... for being you and for sharing your ESH here and for helping make our meetings some of the best around

Way to go, sweetheart. It takes what it takes for us to get true recovery. I was definitely in the "sometimes slowly" catagory. You are here now and your clean time speaks for itself. Thanks for being a part of my recovery.
