raining I miss my home group, just moved to a new town, seems that the groups i go to now are not as diverse. The diversity at my home group was are strength. Now i can`t seem to make up my mind on a new home group. I traveled 2 hours the other day to pick up my 90 day key tag at my home group in the town i just moved from. I`ts like the groups in my area are either all white or all black. What if anything can i do?

all my life I've never fit in.
anywho I am or was the only Thai kid on the block, in school,
in the usaf, at work.....recovery is no exception.
As a child I was ship from relatives to relatives. I never had
a stable environment.
I moved to de U.S of A at the age of 8.
Me step father is a USAF Vietman Vet, born in oklahoma,
raised in S.F. Anyways...that was a hell of a mix.lol
Being the only asian kid aside from my sister in the 70's really, really, really sucks !!
You name it...all the, stereo type, biggetry, name calling from kid ,adults, educators. Prejedous, i havn't really figured it out after all these years.
But did however affected me. i was wacked anyways. I guess the more
the marrier. Maybe I am special, unquie and different after all.LMAF
No,... not everybody I came in contact with hated me for being me..some did.lol
Some that got to know will...really, really hate me.
My ex-wife for example, blone hair, hazzle eyes, 5'5", a country gal from
texas. She had a harder time with this issue than I.
Yes, all the stairs at her just for being with me and loving me.
It eat ate her little by little. I watch her struggled with it.
As long as the ties is stronger than that will tear us apart all would be will.
We fought a lot unfortunately.
The thing is...every woman I've ever been invloved with has
her features or semilarities...Mmmmm maybe I'm sick.lol
Or I just love beautiful women.
As I got older and travel to more places.All that BS didn't bother me
as much. There's loving people everywhere.
The fellowships or working the steps has also help me gets rid of
some of that BS and resentments, guilt and whatever the hell
else that came with hate.
Anyways, there's a common thread, look at the semilarities.
Most people in recovery are loving caring people. Thats been my experience.

Found a new home group, and i can still go to the other two groups since my new home group meets two days out of the week on my schedual. You`ll never guess what my new home groups name is. {keep it simple} Is`nt that cool. Oh well, love, blessings, and peace out.
