powerful words

"When at the end of the road we find that we can no longer function as a human being, either with or without drugs, we all face the same dilemma.... Either go on as best we can to the bitter ends-jails, institutions, or death-or find a new way to live."
Basic Text p.84

we all face the same dilemma....... all those little differences put aside this is where the rubber meets the road. This is the unity of Narcotics Anonymous.

where, who, how, what?

DOC? where we lived? how much? who we copped from?

doesn't matter much in the light of the enormous dilemma we all face ...

I'm real grateful for a society of brothers and sisters who can concentrate on the similiar dilemma and how to arrest it on a daily basis, family that helps me get back to functioning as a human being, rather than the monster I had become.

powerful words...

Truer words were never spoken my friend. This is what we were given in order to stay alive. Our very existence is incumbent upon our ability to see past the trappings of those things that would tear us apart.

We, who were in the pits of dispair, should be able to understand "the theraputic value" simply because our disease andour recovery is what unites us....thanks for sharing. This was the first thing I read this morning, and once again, you have lifted my spirits.

peace

we all face the same dilemma....
What is there left to do? Going on the way I was going, living that hell I was living or find a New Way to Live.
We all face the same dilemma, I don't have to do this alone, Never Alone!!! Look to the ones before us, and treat the ones that come after us well, we neve know when we will need them to save our A$$. Thats the therapudic value of one addict helping another.
We Do Recover is an awesome chapter, lots to learn from this chapter and the other 9.
Hope yer feeling better Gooch!

Thanks Gooch,

Wonderful words in our Basic Text.

I am now sitting here with a smile on my face. Thinking, What better way to celebrate Christmas than by selflessly giving of ourselves in NA.

Our war stories don't matter, but our hope does.
