I'm a brand new member who found this site due to my husband's addiction to alcohol.

I'm not exactly sure what the rules are but I saw the title of your post and felt compelled to reach out.

Please know that you have support. Just continue to reach out and allow everyone be present for you.

I wish you peace in your heart and mind...

Thank you Ginny. I have been searching for peace of mind but find only depression and self loathing. I am worthless. My family needed me and I failed them. It is too late.

It's never too late, Truckinon.

Please get yourself some help.

You don't need to live this way, and you're certainly not worthless. We all have a purpose on this earth.

It is definitely never too late and there are countless people who will support you and love you when you can't do it for yourself.

I've been to the place of depression, self-loathing, and worthlessness. 11 years later, with recovery groups and support, I'm an amazing father and a good husband again.

Please, don't give up hope. There is always hope.

We are here for you while you deal w your problems. We will be here rooting for you and worrYing about you.

Please hang on. Curl up for a few minutes and just breath. It helps.

Not really qualified to counsel you here, so maybe you should see a dr. If you feel like you might hurt yourself or someone.

Sincerely....

going crazy. I need help. I can go for a psych evaluation but I'm scared of getting sectioned. I spoke briefly with my therapist last night, happened to run into him, didnt help much. I want to track down another therapist I met with once to see if he can see me. I called another one that was recommended but never returned my call.

Sounds good.

My first 3 months of sobriety i felt like i was going nuts. Getting used to being clean is painful.

Heya T, another depressive here. Unfortunately there is only so much knowledge out there. I've just had to gut it through quite a bit.

It helps that there are others out there, like you, who are seeking help, trying something else and posting here.

Please hang tough and post here.

Your are worthy.

Thinking of you, Truckinon. You're important to us, and certainly far from worthless. Better days can lie ahead - never give up on yourself.
