Perfect timing.
After ~500 posts, and six months, it's time to say good bye.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to those who've carefully followed my posts. As I've mentioned before, the quality of my posts has been steadily declining. I've been lackadaisically writing stuff, just for the sake of writing stuff. There's just no need for that, given that, again as I've mentioned before, I already keep a personal log outside of this forum.
So farewell.
Adieu! Adieu!

Hi all,
Just checking in with a quick update - in case anyone still sees this thread.
I'm still sober, a little over eight months now. Physically, I feel good. I'm glad that I never entertained those previous thoughts of wanting to drink. I want to keep this post short, so won't go back into that whole thing.
I want to thank everyone. I distinctly remember this one exchange I had with Dee about being able to say confidently that you've quit (and it being easier to say you've quit, as opposed to merely "being in the process of quitting").
(see here - http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ml#post5918754
I definitely see it now! I think I reached this point around the 6 month mark. I really don't think about drinking at all. I mean sure I have memories and stuff, but the desire is nonexistent. And it's great.
Thanks all.
