Lots of pain but still sober

I'm grateful even though I have wicked chronic pain from a shoulder fracture that isn't healing right. I still have to endure it for a couple more weeks when I have full shoulder replacement surgery -- but I'm STILL SOBER. In the past, any excuse was a good excuse to drink, but no more. If this is a test, I'm passing it, and I'm grateful for the strength that's finally allowing me to do that.
