Thank you Dee.

As a bit of an aside, I'm a bit of a detail guy about some things. So in my mental pronunciation of your name, Suze, is it like 'Sue-zee' or is it shortened to Sooz?

I hope you're feeling better Arbor.

I'm pooped. Goodnight gang.
Suze is pronounced Sooz Mark, but I also get called Suzie.
Suze, Suzie, Suzanne.....I answer to anything except for Sue.

Glad to see you, Suze.

My tooth is aching and I'm headed to bed. Going to have to call the dentist first thing.

It's been strange for me...no one here who I'm close with had even been here since Venus died. I felt a little abandoned.

Tonight, I have had three close girlfriends stop by...lots of awesome memories of Venus shared. She really was the most amazing cat. A force to be reckoned with and a complete joy.

I feel a bit better now....I was struggling very badly today. Wondering a little how to go on....or how to go on with enthusiasm. But I found me again tonight. And I have so much exciting stuff ahead of me. And Venus will always be with me.

Hi Gang. Took a bit of reading but I'm all caught up with you now. Boston is much less intimidating than NYC to me Mark. Glad you and the missus had a good trip. Suzanne, that would be freaking awesome if you came to the states! I am a hop, skip and a jump away from NY. Check out a phone app called Hopper for best travel deals, it saved me over $400 on DD's upcoming trip. Briar, the critters are so cute! Does A play with them? Weird that it's Wednesday already. I do like a four day work week

I hear you, Suzanne. Glad your feeling better. I sometimes look at this alcoholism as a death in the family. I don't think you ever really get over a loss like that. It's definitely shaped me into who I am currently.

You picked one of the best possible weekends for travel up this way, Mark. Missed the heat and humidity that resides today and will be here the rest of the week. Well over 90!

Have a great day guys.

Good morning gang.

A big cannonball dive back into work today!

Suze, I've been thinking that's it's nice you'll be using this time before any future kittens to travel. The fun and excitement of planning your trip will give your mind somewhere pleasant to rest on the tougher days. It works that way for me anyway. I'm glad you had friends over.

Sorry about the tooth phoebe......and what timing for that dentist pic at sign on to SR! Hi to the rest of the gang. Work here I come.....

Glad you are feeling better, Suze.

Hi BD! Nice yo hear from you.

Mark, I had not noticed that ad with the dental photo. LOL. No opioids here. Not one. Thankfully, ibuprofen is doing the trick. I do think I will need a benzo for the next procedure, if I need one. I have a call into the dentist. She was in a meeting and the assistant listened and was a bit comforting. She said it rarely happens that a crown needs a root canal, but it can happen, and she has had 3 and they were not the big deal everyone talks them up to be. But there may be some adjustment that can be done as well.

The bummer is we are going away for a few days this weekend, and I hate being in dental pain while not close to home...and my dentist. It is a trip I could miss if need be. It would be easier for my sobriety, for sure. Family reunion with dh's mother's family.

P.s. - You were very fortunate with the weather, Mark. Heat and humidity is really settling in.

I was being hopeful last night....I actually feel pretty awful.
And a cold has turned into what feels like the flu.
I want to crawl back into bed and cry.

I think I'll do that.

At risk of going overboard with the pics, this one is a favorite from the boat looking back towards Boston on the evening of the 4th. Spectacular it was.

I'm sorry it's a tough morning Suze. You're yet in the early stages of grieving so a good cry is sometimes a needed release.

When you're ready I'd love to learn more about your general trip agenda. What locations do you know for sure that you want to visit? You mentioned California....what area do your friends live? Sounds like the east coast is on the agenda as well.

Phoebe, are y'all going somewhere fun for a few days?

I hope you feel better soon, Suze. Bed rest is a great idea; drink plenty of water, too.

(and a good cry can be very therapeutic, sweetheart).
