Yes, it's still hard for me to believe that I actually met up with 7 total strangers for a group that deals with metaphysics. And here's the kicker: I was not on alcohol nor was I on any drugs. It's a miracle!!!
There's this app called Meetup that allows you to pick what kind of groups you might be interested in attending. I've joined quite a few of the groups and have begun meeting people. Tomorrow night I'm going to a creative writing group.
If you're feeling a bit lonely or incomplete, I encourage you to find some groups to attend.

Lol...I was thinking of the word strangers. No need for us to feel uncomfortable, we're all a little strange.
I use Meetup and have been to metaphysical events like drumming and crystal bowl healing. They're a great group of positive people!

I'm glad to see someone else promoting one of the best sites out there. Where I live there's a group for just about everything on Meetup.com and it's possible to never be alone at the house again, if that's what you want.
Lol I think we exaggerated how bad off we were socially without booze. Just like everything else we thought alcohol was saving us from. It was just part of the illusion.
It's perfectly fine also to go out in public and not talk at all except to answer people's questions. Just getting out and being around others is healthier than staying cooped up in a sad, lonely house night after night. And doing it sober makes us much better listeners and communicators.
