SMART meetings and confidentiality

I am considering going to a SMART meeting but I know that openness is encouraged to get the most out of the group. I am concerned about sharing information with others in an open forum, particularly given my profession. What are the rules about anonymity/confidentiality and what is the reality?

A local one is in a Recovery Cafe- a bit apprehensive about going to a Recovery Cafe too.

I was going to do online meetings but ordered the wrong headset- so have now ordered one with a USB connection!

Will probably do an online meeting first to get a feeling for it. Would welcome others experiences.

Hi Carlygirl

You can just pass and listen until you are comfortable, confidentiality does not mean much to some ppl, you can have a recovery name, no requirement/reason to give pernonal info. Online works too but some sites show up on google searches,

Take Care
