c'est la vie

Maybe I'll write a longer story to post in another part of the site, but today I just want to say that I'm grateful that places like this exist for people like me to go when seeking help in real life seems impossible.

I found love, encouragement, wisdom, and often a kick in the pants to help me keep moving toward a healthier life. It wasn't a stroll down a rose petal covered path, but I finally found a support network in my real life and have been sober over 8 years. The coolest part is that I still am connected to 10 women I met here in 2005 and 2006 and I've met 2 of them in real life. We were part of a group of moms that stuck together and helped each other out of some really bad places.

I don't think any of them still come around here, but I see some familiar admins on the list, so I'll say THANKS to you for giving us a place to grow and love and learn.

I miss that moms group! I haven't been on here in a few years but am needing some renewed support so rejoined again, and how great to see your name and that you have 8 years! So happy for you.
I left for a while and when I came back they were all gone, no idea where too.
Maybe I will start a new moms forum!
