Can an atheist play?

I am a big believer in gratitude, appreciation of life, it's the same to me.

I am grateful for my husband, who hung in with me through 25+ years of the horrible nightmare that is alcoholism.

And for my home which, humble and messy as it is, is safe and warm.

I am ever grateful for my dogs. They are two of the neatest people I know and bring us endless joy, affection and adoration.

I am grateful for flowers because, imagine a world without flowers.

I am grateful that I was born in a privileged, wealthy nation, with a healthy body, in an amazing time in human history. It is breathtaking. It is against the odds that I should exist at all, or that any of us should. As human existence goes, I not only made it into the game - I hit the jackpot!

I am grateful that this place is here, and all the places that offer people a place to share and get strong and healthy.

Hi, Silly!

If you don't mind my little intrusion to you thread - I think your gratitude list is fantastic!

It brought smile to my face - such a fresh and genuine look at simple things that often escape our attention.

Thank you.

P.S. I am an atheist too.

Great list! I personally would add indoor plumbing and modern dentistry to boot!
