8 years sober

It's been 8 years today since I crashed our motor home into the front of a Block Buster Video store. Thank God no one other than myself was hurt on that day.

Congrats Mountain Man

That is an awesome achievement. If you had to single out 1 aspect of your recovery that was the most important to your success, what would it be?

yes, I was in collision with everything and everybody back when I was drinking.

on vacation here out in Borrego Springs, went to an AA meeting this morning and got a token. I was very thankful to everyone attending.

Thank you soberwolf, I appreciate that.

When I met my Queen I wasn't drinking. Then for some stupid reason I started drinking again. The Queen asked of me if I was going to be OK with my drinking? I told her, of course, I've got this under control. Well, in short time that proved to be wrong and I had a very unhappy Queen who was ready to abandon ship.

I got sober yet again and made a firm decision not to drink again. The Queen has been happy ever since.

That's funny.

Not sure if I thought that I was camping out
or
trying to make Block Buster Video a drive through store.

I heard later that there were customers in the store as I took off the front of the building. I still thank God often that none of them got hurt.

Thank you all here on site for reminding me that,
it's best that Mountainmanbob don't take a drink today.

Thank you Dee.
You all here have helped me a lot.
Still a work in progress
but
if I was still drinking there would be no progress.

Maybe even no life ?
