My Story Part 2 Dl1972ss
My journey was intense in the beginning. AA meetings and a sponsor for me was the right path. The beginning was so difficult yet for me a relief to have a sponsor and just have her guide me (tell me) on what to do with suggestions and support. I worked the AA program with her and the days were sometimes unbearable, but one day at a time I started to heal. I started to learn coping skills that I hadn't learned as a child. I learned how to make an amends, learned to "let go", learned to think before I act, & most important I have learned to love myself. I am now living back at home with my husband and children. I have been given a gift. I live one day at a time with my family and we enjoy every day together good ones and bad ones. I am so grateful to my recovery program. I am grateful to be a mom that is present for her children. I am grateful to be a loving honest partner with my husband. I no longer dread my days. I welcome them!
