Class of April 2015 Part4
End of week three. Feeling grateful for the loving support of my higher power. That would be all in this community and those who are at every meeting I attend. Without support the journey would be hazardous and filled with many obstacles.
God bless and resist the triggers that cause us to stumble.

I am calling it an earlyish night. I have been staying up way to latte lately, not sure if it's slight insomnia or what. On the other hand, the extreme fatigue is gone. I got in some exercise tonight, so that should help me fall asleep.
I figured out another trigger tonight. Everyday is a work in progress. The hubby came home in a bad mood and was just plain miserable and demanding. He is like a spoiled child sometimes. Anyways, a quiet moment on the deck helped along with the silent treatment until dinner time, no use arguing with a tired grump. I guess the old me would have grabbed a glass of wine to numb the brain from dealing with stressed out grouchy husband, because the thought came to my mind pretty quickly!
Today, I am thankful for another sober day!

Good morning guys . Day 13 and feeling soo tired. Could not sleep last night at all. Looking back over past posts im extremely grateful to be at day 13, rather than the heart racing, itchy, sweaty, panic filled nights of a couple of weeks ago.
So tiredness I can live with.
Grateful it what I am feeling today and im not drinking.
Onwards and upwards guys. We CAN do this.

Evening all....
Some great progress happening here....congrats to bluesky, kittycat, Zab....29 days is great. Blackbird and Josephina:.... on to a second week.
Bluesky....tired is easier than tired and hungover.....but you know that. I had the itching and tiredness really badly this time. Sleeping is getting better now....
Amp.....thoughts with you, it'll be easier without the beers in the frij...
As of today, into week 5 here. Starting to feel there are unexpected changes happening. My voice strengthening again.......anyone else ever had voice problems in heavy drinking?
Okay.....later all.

Hey Can Guy, thanks for that! Have a happy week 5. I'm a singer and my voice is less croaky now, especially in morning recording sessions. I was redoing a track from last month last week and my producer got frustrated because he wanted me to put the "same expression" into the song as I had done on the first take. I couldn't find what he was looking for. I think it's related. There's a chance I may stop sounding so much like Bob Dylan!!
Add me to the not sleeping well list! Woke at middle of night with sweats and stressing out about things. Got out of bed for a few minutes. I was / am very tired. Fortunately I did fall asleep.
I am without a doubt experiencing PAWS as a result of the stresses. I seem to do OK at times and can manage the stress, while other waves simply overcome me.
I'll have to spend some today today for myself. I've been working too hard. Gotta take care of some personal business.

The sleeping thing is supposed to settle down in time. My rhythms have been all over the place for the first 15 days but now seem to be settling a little. Last night I slept 6 hours straight which is pretty good.
Also noticed that there is an eerie clarity to everything these days and my thought processes feel quicker and less muddied. I think it's called sobriety!

Another symptom of PAWS is memory / brain function flaws. I find it humorous...so far at least.
Today was the 2nd time in recent days that I took a shower and forgot to wash my hair. I also play interactive word games here on SR. They're fun and help take my mind off issues when needed.
One game is change a letter. You're given a 5 letter word and your supposed to reply with a new 5 letter word by changing one letter.
Another game is word association. Simple enough, see a word, reply with a word.
Last couple days I've been mixing them up. Or changing two letters. Many times, I'll see a word, hit reply, then forget the word I just saw.
It'll pass. The good news is that's a very good sign my brain is repairing itself. That means progress!
