Freedom from the bondage of food
Its been a while since I have posted here, I have kinda been getting on with life and using my O.A program and meetings to focus on my recovery. I am truly greatful that life has challenged me in so many ways over the last few years as I have had to cling to my O.A friends for support and work my program fearlessly. Thankfully with them and my Higher Power I have weathered the storm and am sitting here today with total serenity, no longer using food to deal with my emotions. Food is merely a fuel for my body not a medicine for my emotional and spiritual growth and just for today I feel totally at peace with who I am and where my life is at. I intend to visit my friends here more often and become part of this lovely community once more.

Bless you, Biscuits. I do hope one day I'll feel the same way. For me, food is the hardest addiction of all to crack, but I'm NEVER giving up and posts like yours are really encouraging
What a nice post. Thank you.
Ive been using my AA program of
recovery for the past 24 yrs. to help
me remain sober for a many one days
at a time.
A month ago for whatever reason or
Powers to be, I turned my eating
problem over to the Nutrisystem
program to help me loose weight.
Ive battled my weight and how I
look for yrs. upon yrs, always yo-
yoing up and down getting many
different results.
Then as I get older and the metabolism
slows and the menopause stage of life,
losing weight has again become a challenge.
So, I decided to give Nutrisystem a try
which puts the what I eat into their hands.
All I do know is pick up a box that is filled
with a 5 day meals. No guessing what to
buy at the store or what to eat. It's all
decided for me. Simple and effective so
far.
Turning my will and eating over to
Nutrisystem and the Man upstairs
for guidance and safe keeping.
