I am back after another failed attempt at drinking normal. It ended up with me getting beat up in a bar last night at 2am and then my wife threatening divorce. I have a plan and a support system I just need to use it. Please wish me the best, as I wish that for all of you. It's great to have a place to share...

It can be a real pisser that we just can't do the moderation thing. How much further along would so many of us be, if we just learned that a lot sooner?

I think we all have to get that out of our systems. I hope I have. I don't want to be cocky and say that I have. I know that I can't drink like normal people. I just can't possibly do it. I've tried so hard.

Hey Millie,

On the bright side, you've made it through 18 days and it sounds like you are figuring some things out.
Be strong and do what you know is right. If you need to stay away from certain situations, stay away. Try and find something positive to focus on.
I hope you have a great weekend.

MITA

Nuke - 21 -- Traveling today up to the coal mines. Passed the old watering holes and felt a huge surge of confidence knowing that I was not going to visit there later. I would be lying if I did not say my mouth was watering a bit as I passed though...

Happy weekend everyone. My plans are basically to lie on the sofa, read books, watch tv and eat bonbons.

Morning all.

Going for another sober day today. Having a lot of stress at the moment but I know drinking will only make it worse in the long run. Have to play the tape and persevere!

Day 31 technically. Just going to bed now though. I went to a bar with coworkers and enjoyed good food and laughs! I can do this. Still staying vigilant tho. Good night all!

Day 14 for me, my ocd self loves the even sound of '2 weeks today' so I'm a bit sad tomorrow is day 15 instead, insane I know. I'm grateful to have any days really though, and this is the longest I've had in many years
Plus going to bed sober again feels nice, especially on a Saturday night,
Keep it up everyone!
