How do you practice Step 11?

I'm curious to know how you practice step 11. I am horribly inconsistent with it, although I'm not sure why. I always feel great after meditation. I also say a step 3 prayer every morning but it is quick and admittedly nonchalant.

Just looking at what others are doing, maybe it can help me build consistency.

Thanks all!

If you can, set your alarm clock 20 minutes before you normally wake up. Give time for a morning meditation. Make it a habit to work this daily. You can simply ask your higher power how you can be useful to another during the day.

Step 11 can also be used whenever we need to (24/7).

For me, the key is to be able to be still and quiet for a few minutes.
Once I have mastered that, I know I can do that anytime in the day or night.
So, whenever I recognize being tense, I know it is time to be still and quiet for a while and ask myself this question, 'what am I afraid of?'
So whatever (unreal) fear comes to mind, I pray to my HP to give me courage to face what it is I am avoiding.

Why fears? Because I find that it is always some fear that causes tension in me.
Why face the fears? Because acting in faith is the only way to de-myth the unreal fears. And, I know that God's will for me is to stay sober and be free from resentment.
My most common resentments are not facing my fears.

PS. An unreal fear is one that we imagine. A real fear is a certainty, like about to be hit by a car.
