Hi, Julyers!
Day 3 free of binge eating for me, and it has started as a tough one. By far I've barely made it by the skin of my teeth.
First, 3d day in a row these pushy gals from a bank call me offering different kinds of insurance, reciting all the insurance cases they would be eager to pay me for - death, severe illness, traumas, etc. Come on! Today I was sitting with my coffee in the morning, when the gal called me. I thought "YOu've got to be kidding me". She went into detail how little it costs per month for a full package, and how much is a lump sum in case of my death my relatives will get. Relatives is my sore point - of all relatives left I have only my brother who is a rare piece of *****. Some friends here know my sad story and what I went through to finally leave him and my childhood wounds behind. Yeah, right. He would be beyond himself with joy to get my insurance money.
Today I was just so pissed off, that I was about to call them and tell if they proceed with this, I will close my card down, and switch to another bank.
Sorry for the rant, but it is just ridiculous.
And then some guy called me about my car - I am selling it to sort out my financial issues. All this selling makes me anxious, and I am still quite emotionally vulnerable after my last depression crisis. So, he wanted to see the car, and since we are at the opposite ends of the city I have to decided where to meet. Even this decision made me nervous, and I almost went to the fridge for some mindless eating.
If not for joying you, guys and gals, I would surely binge.
Welll, I hope the rest of the day will be better.
Welcome to all the newcomers.
And thanks for the new thread, Dee)
See you all later.

I believe it is day 10 for me historically July 7th is a bad day for me it would have been my dad's 75th birthday he's been gone a few years I miss him from time to time. However he was a mean drunk I'm not a mean drunk just drunk and I feel that it's not his fault it's my fault ._ he never tried sobriety well I'm not going to try I'm going to achieve it kick his ass
I haven't been posting much which normally means I've gone off on a bender, that hasnt Happened I'm glad to say!Ive started a new job and no longer do 4 on 4 off but I'm on 5 nights a week including Friday and Saturday.Make it through this weekend and it will mark a month of sobriety which is the longest I've had since joining.Slowly getting it.

Morning class, oh second page now, exciting!
Day 15 now feeling stronger again and my AV has gone into hiding (for now) Ive been on such a health and exercise kick that its making me feel so good Im not even tempted to drink The sun helps too and getting outside. Im going on holiday for a few days at the weekend which Im really excited about , there isn't anyplace with alcohol involved so am not worried about that, in fact it will be good to get away from all the pubs here!
Deanyya well done you are doing great now
Midnightblue well done on not bingeing, I HATE those type of sales phone calls don't cope with them atall!
And WELCOME to all the new classmates, its good to see the July class growing
Have a good day everyone
Peace X

~~Food For Thought~`Humpday Edition~~
~~Praise Yourself ~~
Take full responsibility for your life.
Stop blaming others.
See yourself as the cause of what happens to you.
Do things you like to do.
Don't stay in a job you don't like.
Participate in life at the highest level you can.
Give yourself the simple pleasures of life abundantly.
Wear clothes you feel good in, get a massage etc.
Watch what you say. Avoid self put-downs.
Stop being critical of yourself and others.
Take care of your body.
Give it exercise and good food.
Be willing to create a life-style that generates and nourishes self-esteem.
Associate with others with high esteem.
Acknowledge yourself frequently.
Keep a diary of your successes and accomplishments.
Avoid comparing yourself with others.
Remember that it's who we are, not what we do, that's important
Give yourself permission to do nothing periodically.
Schedule time by yourself.
Frequently take deep breaths.
Discover the benefit and pleasure of breathing fully.
Eat first class frequently.
Don't look at the right side of the menu.
Stop trying to change others.
Focus your attention on being the way you want others to be.
Look into a mirror regularly
and say "I love you, I really love you".
Stop feeling guilty and saying "I'm sorry".
See mistakes as valuable lessons and avoid judging yourself.
Consciously generate positive thoughts and feelings of self-love
in place of old thoughts of inadequacy.
Be willing to laugh at yourself and at life.
Stop taking yourself so seriously.
Accept compliments from others without embarrassment.
Don't invalidate their positive thoughts and feelings about you.
Be kind to your mind.
Don't hate yourself for having negative thoughts.
Gently change your thoughts.
Keep your awareness and your thoughts focussed in present time
instead of living in the past or future.
Acknowledge others frequently.
Tell them what you like and appreciate in them.
Invest money in yourself.
Go to seminars, workshops and courses that develop your talents.
Make a list of 10 things
you love doing and do them frequently.
Treat yourself as you would treat someone you really loved.
Praise yourself.

Good morning all! Well, I guess it's not morning for all, but it is here
I have officially made double digits. 10 full days behind me, working on 11 today. Each day feeling a bit better and a bit more confident.
Just wanted to pop in before I went to work to wish all the best day they can have!
