Grateful for spending an aclohol-Free day with my young kids

Haven't posted in a long time. Was sober 7 months last year and blew it off when I got laid off from my job, and separated from my husband. The "Oh I can handle it NOW", crap settled in, and before I knew it I was barely caring for my kids. (Ex husband moved out of state without a look back or a dollar thrown our way.) Two weeks ago I stopped cold turkey. Feel great again, but am disappointed at my stupidity.

My kids love having mom back, and it is a hell of a job caring for twi little ones, working full time, and training for races. All my friends drink, and my family is out of state.

I slipped and had drinks with my friends on Thursday with lunch, but didn't get hammered. (Justification much?)

Anyway, here I am again.

Julie
