Prayer and Meditation, not Medication!!!
This is vitally important to me today. I pray in order to talk to god, and I meditate to listen to god. I try to keep a regular schedule, and do the next right thing. I pray for other people now, especially newcomers. I have faith that this program of action works, I see that it does in Birthday meetings, I see it in myself as an oldtimer, I see it in the rooms of AA.
I see a newcomer only a month in, going from pale skin, jobless, homeless, to healthy with a job and a home and car with a sponsee or 2. I see a oldtimer never having a sponsee, never talking about the steps, cussing and swearing. We are fellows that would not normally mix, but on a sinking ship we are at one with each other.
We have a common solution to a common problem.

That's good stuff Matt. My 11th. Step has been a sobriety long journey.
It is a quest of discovery. I share with co-alcoholics and I gain new
references and resource materials on SR. Before AA I would never
have visualized myself as a spiritual seeker. Now I can't see myself
w/o the thirst for wisdom that comes with being in that predicament
of ever knowing less than I can believe.
