Well, I'll be first, just cos I can!

Glad you felt safe enough to walk around late at night. You need a pair of thongs or joggers Leshar! I love walking everywhere, particularly when I'm travelling. San Francisco nearly killed me though...those hills can be relentless!

Yee haw! A new part! Look how far we've come!

Yes, Croissant, those San Francisco hills! I was there in my twenties, killed me then, couldn't imagine it now, as an old broad!
When were you there?

I think im getting a cold, rats!

Oh...a cold. Bugger!

I went to San Francisco last year for a few weeks. Immersed myself a bit. Stayed in a few different spots and travelled down the coast a bit. Loved it. Will definitely go back.

Thanks for the new thread Dee

I found walking is the best way to take in new places . You breathe in the essence of it all .

Don't let a cold thwart your plans Leshar , take a cordial and soldier on , you have much to enjoy

Just picked Holly up from her BFs house at Kapunda . It's a long drive after a busy Sunday at work , 3 hour trip up and back .

Going to watch the voice and have some nibbles , i love Kylie and Joel Ricky and Will.i.am

Suddenly feeling a bit lonely. I'm tired today with all the walking and exploring, that's probably it, plus it's a bit lonely eating out alone all the time. And I'm a bit freaked out with having so many lines to learn! I sat in the park today, in the shade and tried to memorize lines. It was a fun experience at the park, lots of music and ppl watching.

I'm looking forward to going to the Prado, a major art museum here, tomorrow. I think it will be an all day event.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Leahar....don't feel bad for feeling tired. Even if you aren't sick, that's normal! I usually choose something quiet to do every 3rd day or so when travelling. It's just as nice to grab some tasty treats, some magazines or newspapers and tuck yourself in for an afternoon.

Or, a day trip on a bus? Where you can be around others? I've found thesis ones to be ok;

Hey everybody.
Yeah my husky is a female,Crois. Her name is Leah.
I'm petting her right now. Love that girl.

I spent all day working on the boiler in my home with my BIL.
We're changing it out for a much more efficient one.
I plan on taking tomorrow off from work as we didn't quite finish it today.
So no hot shower.

Hope everybody has a wonderful day/night.
Take care.

Wow, so much to catch up on. I cannot comment on all of it now, need to jump in the nice HOT shower and then take the kid to the doctor but will write more later.

Snoozy, congrats on the handsome little grandson.

Leshar, you go girl and have a blast in Madrid.

The week in DC was a nightmare. I could write a novel. Kid got the conditional job offer, only 4 out of 12 in her group were hired. Now, if she could only walk. We were at each other's throats most of the week. She can't drive and lives 40 minutes one way from me. Have to take a few hours off this morning to take her to the doctor, which annoys me, I never miss work. Boss was cool, just texted back "no worries".

Have a great week all.

He he, Snoozy, I love the avatar! And I love you too, Croissant, and all you wonderful guys!

Lulu, how great that your daughter was offered the job! I'm sorry there was tension between you two. This reminds me that I did the right thing to not "allow" my sister to join me here. Yes, I'm alone, but it's ok, I'm a big girl now, and I think I'm doing quite well! My sister can be difficult.

I had a wonderful day at the Prado today, from opening to closing! I'm soaking my feet now! I actually shed a few tears of happiness today, taking in all the wondrous art. I feel calm and present. Sobriety is like a gift that I've given myself!

Tucking in now to watch a telenovela with an ice cream bar!
Thanks, guys, I don't feel lonely knowing I may share with you!

There was a weird smell around here this morning and i couldn't work out what it was , then a lightbulb went off and it dawned on me that it must be Bob! Geez that poor man needs a shower
