Being clean and sober has given me the capacity for gratitude. I'm grateful that AA is a simple program with simple slogans for complicated people. In the beginning I was unable to remember what I heard at meetings and couldn't comprehend what I read in the books even though I had a masters degree. The people in 12 Step programs have taught me the language healthy living. Thank you all for contributing to my good life.
